The National Center for State Courts is conducting a nationwide survey on competition outsourcing for the upcoming annual Conference of Chief Justices and the Conference of State Court Administrators Education Program. This survey is designed to help develop one of the programs that will be offered during the conference and captures information on what court activities are currently outsourced, the reasons for outsourcing, and the results, both positive and negative, experienced from those decisions.

The courts are also being asked to describe the most significant lessons learned from their court’s outsourcing efforts as well as making a recommendation on what aspects of outsourcing they would like to hear more about when the group meets later this year.

The survey is an outgrowth of a partnership between the National Center for State Courts and the Virginia Commonwealth Competition Council. Virginia is one of the leading states in outsourcing processes and is working with the National Center for State Courts in developing this program for their conference. The survey was formatted for the Internet by the Virginia Information Providers Network.

The actual survey is a closed document and can only be accessed with a pin number. Authorized users may begin the survey.
